Designer Gianni Versace founded the label in 1978 in Milan. He staged his first show in the same year with a range of garments that were easy to wear, yet packed a powerful punch. That essence remains present in today's collection (now helmed by his sister, Donatella) – it's brimming with everyday dresses, zip-up tops and shorts with arresting aesthetics thanks to bold graphic patterns and intricate classical motifs. The label has also expanded to include homeware in recent years, offering cushions, throws and pet accessories that are the natural extension of the Versace brand: opulent and eye-catching.
